About
Julie Jackson, LCSW
Life can be demanding when you are the one others depend on. Whether you are navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, military life, career stress, parenting responsibilities, or major life transitions, having the right support can make a meaningful difference.
Julie Jackson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and the founder of Salt & Steel Counseling & Consulting. She specializes in working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families facing trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, infertility, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, personality disorders, and significant life transitions.
Julie has extensive experience supporting military service members, veterans, first responders, and their families. As a former military spouse and current veteran spouse, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work with military-connected clients. She understands the unique challenges associated with deployment cycles, reintegration, operational stress, frequent relocations, identity shifts, and the impact these experiences can have on individuals, couples, and families.
Julie earned her Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Throughout her career, she has provided counseling services in schools, homes, health centers, community settings, and private practice, giving her a broad understanding of the complex systems that influence mental health and family wellbeing.
Her clinical approach integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based interventions. Julie is particularly passionate about helping clients build emotional resilience, improve relationships, regulate stress responses, and heal from experiences that continue to affect their daily lives.
Clients often describe Julie as genuine, approachable, kind, and direct. She creates a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where people can explore challenges openly while developing practical strategies for lasting change. Her goal is to help clients move beyond simply managing symptoms and toward living with greater confidence, connection, and purpose.
At Salt & Steel Counseling & Consulting, Julie is committed to providing structured, compassionate care for military families, veterans, first responders, high-stress professionals, and civilians seeking support through life's most challenging seasons.
